Vectrix Electric Scooters
MC operating temperature range
Hi,
VX2 wont start
Hello, we are a Institute from the RWTH Aachen.
We have 4 VX2's.
We want to start with one. And change the Batteries against litium cells. The old PB ones were completely dead.
I wanted to test the rest of the electronics. So I hooked up a PSU to the scooter with 52V and 10 Amps. Lights works. But the Speedo does not turn on properly. In the first line are only black boxes.
1. switched they key on
2. swtiched the kill switch on.
3. pulled the right brake.
nothing happens.
I read the sevcon over CAN. The throttle signal arrives there but the motor wont spin. The gree LED isn't blinking.
Is there something more I can try?

Calibrate read of battery voltage
I have a Vectrix VX-1 with firmware NiMH
MC FW ver:REV 1017
ICM FW ver:DIY 1208
But I have LG Li-Va-NMC battery in 32S 2P, with a standalone BMS.
Total capacity 14,2KWh
I planning to upgrade firmware to Li, and hardware, but first I need to study and understand all the Vectrix systems.
I have a error in reading the voltage battery to the Vectrix Display.
When real is 100,7V, display show 114V
Real 131,4V, display show 150V
Do you know how to calibrate the reading show in display?
Electronics diagrams or schematics
Hello everyone,
It's no longer possible to have an electronic board repaired (controller, BMS, charger). Do you know how I can obtain electronic schematics to diagnose and repair my charger?
Thank you.

does anyone knows which bearings are used for the steering stem and where I could find a replacement?
Thanks

Reprogramming VX1 after lithium battery upgrade
I just swapped in 36s Chevy Volt batteries to a VX1. I am not yet using a BMS. The original nimh temperatures sensors were non-functional before the swap due to corrosion, so those temperature sensors have been removed. I am super excited that the scooter runs well; however:
- the original ESD charger only works for ~10-15 seconds then shuts off, likely due to the missing temperature sensors
- the wrench and temperature dash lights always flash, likely due to the missing temperature sensors
I would like to take a minimalist approach to get the ESD charger working and turn off the dash warning lights. I have the PCAN adapter, have successfully monitored the CAN bus, but have not attempted reprogramming any controllers yet. I have spent ~20-30 hours reading many forum posts to try doing this myself. Much of this information is from 8-10 years ago and there are frequent horror stories of bricking scooters due to something happening during controller reprogramming, which has me scared.
What are people's opinions on the Dugas versus The Laird's firmware files? Can someone point me to the most recent version and procedure to reprogram my ESD charger to work with these 36s lithium batteries?
plastic front parts / charger replacement
hi there, does anyone have a guideline how to take apart the front plastic parts? I would like to change the charger without breaking anything. First look doesn't show many screws. I am scared to break anything....
Sorry If ask a stupid question, there's just so much info but I don't know where to start....thank you
